Overview

The SIA Top-up training is a compulsory course implemented by the SIA. The training course is required in order to renew your SIA Door Supervision or Security Guarding license. The SIA has developed these top-up training courses to ensure that current Door Supervisor and Security Guarding license holders have the same basic skills and knowledge on the level attained by those new entrants achieving the updated qualifications after the 1st April, 2021. Taking effect from the 1st October, 2021 Door supervisor will be required to complete this top-up training course before being Eligible to renew their license.

Description

The Highfield Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Top Up) is awarded by Highfield Qualifications and sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). The RQF is a Qualification Framework regulated by Ofqual and CCEA Regulation. The qualification is also regulated by Qualification Wales. This qualification is supported by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), who regulate the private security industry.

Our 2 Day online and classroom ‘Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Top Up RQF)’ course is delivered via a blended delivery of 1 day online class (zoom virtual classroom platform) and 1 day at our designated training location for the in class practical element of this course.

Some elements covered in this course are:

Physical Intervention Refresher and Knowledge
Terror Threat Awareness
Using Equipment Relevant to the Role of a Door Supervisor.

The exams for this course are done online and it takes 3 hours to complete. Assistance is provided for exam set up by our adminsitration team.

Who is this course for?

This qualification is designed for learners who currently hold a license from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a Door Supervisor and need to be brought up to date with the new license linked qualifications requirements.

Requirements

Learners will need to show that they hold a current Emergency First Aid at work certificate or its equivalent that meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. It is an SIA requirement that training centers must ensure that each learner is sufficiently qualified in First Aid or Emergency First Aid. This must happen BEFORE the learner attends this course.

Good afternoon Shaf, The price here is for the course only. Once you complete and pass the course, the SIA will be notified of your pass however, this does not include the application charge which the SIA charge you for your license. Many thanks Rob
