Overview

The online DipHE Law course provides you with an academic understanding of law, with the course looking to develop your awareness of common law and legal principles, whilst building your knowledge of the UK and EU legal systems. As well as knowledge, you will develop the soft skills needed to thrive in what is a dynamic and challenging discipline. The modules are varied, so as to give you a wide understanding and help you decide on your area of specialism should you choose to progress further with your studies.

Entry Requirements

1. Academic Entry Route

In order to satisfy the Academic Entry Route requirements for the DipHE Law course you must have the following qualifications as a minimum:

  • three A-levels, or equivalent; plus
  • if English is not your first language, IELTS (Academic) 6.0 or equivalent.

You will be required to pass your initial assignment set during the first 21 days of the course in order to continue with your studies

2. Open Entry Route

To apply for the DipHE Law course via our Open Entry Route you must meet the following criteria:

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent;
  • 3 year’s relevant work experience; plus
  • if English is not your first language, IELTS (Academic) 6.0 or equivalent.

You will be required to pass your initial assignment set during the first 21 days of the course in order to continue with your studies.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
