Overview

Our CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Learning & Development is the most comprehensive Intermediate L&D course.

It's ideal if you're looking to progress to an L&D management position or formalise and build on your existing L&D management skills. It's also the best way to continue your professional development if you've studied L&D at Foundation level.

By studying L&D with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the largest professional HR and Development body in Europe, you'll be developing your own skills and career while you learn to do the same for others.

The course is real-world focused, giving you skills you'll be able to use at work from day one. You'll learn to understand Learning and Development within the context of the entire organisation, and how to use metrics to build business cases for L&D.

You'll be able to manage the L&D function within your company, implement coaching and mentoring for both individuals and groups, and improve the leadership skills of those in senior roles.

Once you've completed your course, you'll automatically become an Associate Member of the CIPD.

We've been a CIPD Approved Centre for over 27 years, so whatever your professional goals, we're here to help you achieve them. If the Level 5 Diploma isn't right for you, check out our other CIPD L&D courses at Levels 3, 5 and 7.

Once you enrol with ICS Learn, you'll get all the tutor and administrative support you need to complete your course. That's why our CIPD pass rate is an impressive 95%.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
