Reality programs on losing weight across television around the world has glued viewers worldwide, as they watch each contestants emotionally, painfully, physically battle obesity. It is every obese person’s story – wanting to lose weight.
We need to eat, we need to nourish our body with vitamins, minerals and nutrients we need to do our day to day activities. There is, however, right amounts of food to intake and going over it, everyday, leads to obesity. There is no problem about eating because we need it however moderation is the key as well as burning what we ate through exercise.
At the end of this course, students shall learn how to:
(1) absorb the causes and dangers of obesity;
(2) control body weight;
(3) communicate effectively with customers;
(4) set objectives;
(5) be familiar with food and nutrition in relation to weight loss;
(6) keep fit;
(7) live healthy and
(8) identify with medical interventions for obese people.
To achieve these goals, this course shall make use of interactive materials to present the concepts of the topics to be discussed. Assessments shall be done after the entire course to check for knowledge retention and understanding.
