Case management has become standard practice and an essential component in providing support to clients throughout health and human services. The case manager is tasked with helping clients minimize their stay in hospitals and to locate services in their communities in order to receive treatment as well as support. Case managers are a support to clinical staff and a advocate for clients. This course provides an overview of case management, including key definitions, primary skills and roles of case managers, and the impact of case management on treatment.
