The CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Assisting and Moving Individuals for Social Care Settings (QCF) quali?cation will develop the knowledge and skills needed when both assisting and moving people in a variety
of care settings (Level 2 Certificate), or when inducting others in the workplace as part of a care and support plan (Level 3 Award).

They are suitable for those already working with children, young people or adults in a wide range of occupational settings such as: private or voluntary care agencies, the NHS or other care situations such as foster care.

The Level 2 Certificate covers health and safety issues, policy, strategies for assisting and moving individuals and support. The Level 3 Award is for those familiar with basic strategies for assisting and moving individuals and will be inducting others in the work place, and demonstrating the use of approved techniques.

To complete the Level 2 Certificate learners must achieve a minimum of 14 credits. 10 credits must be achieved from the mandatory units. 4 more credits from a choice of optional units.
