Requirements:

A minimum of a UK 2.2 Honours degree, or equivalent, in the relevant language or another relevant subject; alternative qualifications and professional experience may be considered; a subsequent condition for all applicants meeting these requirements is the successful completion of an interpreting aptitude test; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS minimum overall score of 6.5- reading: 6.0/writing: 6.5/speaking: 6.5/listening: 6.0.

Assessment methods include the completion of a dissertation.

Compulsory modules: Economic/business translation 1 and 2; consecutive and dialogue interpreting 1 and 2; interpreting studies; translation issues 2; dissertation; optional modules: Scientific/technical translation 1 and 2; ab initio language for translation purposes 1 and 2; simultaneous interpreting 1 and 2; consecutive and dialogue interpreting 1 and 2 (in another language pair); computer-assisted translation; corpora in translation/interpreting practice and research; translation of persuasive texts; interpreting and society; public service interpreting (PSI) trends and issues; research methods in translation studies.
