Overview
Our Business Studies and Law course prepares students for business careers that have a legal dimension. Law has an increasing influence on many aspects of business. It governs, for example, contractual arrangements, employment protection, consumer protection and many aspects of accounting and finance. The degree will give you a clear understanding of the interface between business activity and the legal framework within which it operates.
Among the organisations recently to have employed our Business Studies and Law graduates are Bradford Council, Halifax Magistrates' Court and the University of Bradford.
The course offers the possibility of partial exemption from the academic stage of training if you want to qualify as a solicitor or barrister.
You may take the course over three or four years. The four-year course includes a minimum of nine months gaining practical experience outside the university, usually working on a placement in industry or commerce.
