Overview

Students undertake 1 to 3 research projects; for each, they are given time to carry out literature searches before and during the experimental work, and to write up and make a poster and an oral presentation to the school at the end of the project; students are given the freedom to choose their research project depending on their strand of interest after talking to staff involved in the programme; during the course of the project students are encouraged to suggest experiments, design experimental protocols, as well as being taught specific techniques and advanced knowledge transferrable skills.

Requirements:

2.2 Class degree in anatomy, cell biology, pharmacology, physiology or a related discipline; or a previous MRes or MSc; or a medical, veterinary or dental qualification; IELTS 7.0 with a minimum of 7.0 in each component; TOEFL iBT 88 or above with minimum scores in components as follows: Listening and Writing 21, Reading – 22, Speaking 23; International Baccalaureate Standard Level 5; Hong Kong use of English AS level C; INDIA Standard XII 70 per cent or above (from the following boards when education has been completed in English Medium: CBSE, CISCE, West Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu boards); WAEC C6.
