Overview
This course allows you to take on a full role of being an assistant accountant and reflecting this experience on your CV as a full role. This will not reflect as a voluntary role as we give you full responsibility and will also include a reference to help you add that experience. You will also be able to get your ACCA experience signed for up to 12 months. The training will give you an insight to financial statements, bookkeeping, Sage and accountancy course notes. We are your platform to getting a role within Accountancy as we allow you to work with our clients right away and eliminate the main objective faced by candidates trying to get into accounting which is lack of experience.
Description
You will be able to understand the principles of processing accounts.
This course will also enable you to recognise the double entry bookkeeping system
You will be taught about depreciation and the consequences on business.
Prepare and process financial documentation for customers.
Process supplier invoices, credit notes and calculate payments.
It also covers minute details of how to maintain the cash book.
Maintain petty cash records.
Process ledger transactions and extract a trial balance
Control accounts, journals and the banking system.
Understand the purpose and use of control accounts.
The practical experience will cover:
• Preparing Working Paper Files with reconciliations from complete and partial records.
• Reconciling Bank, PAYE, VAT & Corporation Tax, Current and long term liabilities.
• Fixed Asset registers creation, maintenance and reconciliation
• Assisting the Senior Accountants with preparing Statutory Financial Statements.
• To ensure that we have complete accounting records in advance of Accounts preparation.
• Assist with preparation of tax computation schedules and UK Corporation Tax Returns.
• Occasionally needed to assist with the bookkeeping, VAT, preparation of Management Accounts, and preparation of Self-Assessment Returns.
• Occasionally needed to review bookkeeping and VAT work.
Who is this course for?
Preferably candidates who’ve studied within accounting.
Requirements
Must have some knowledge within accounting.
Career path
Most candidates have gone onto Trainee Accountants role and some have gone on to more senior roles.
