Level 3 Award in Education and Training AET formerly known as PTLLS Course is designed to give people the knowledge and confidence to teach adult in any specialty subject area. This course is suitable for someone who wants to work as a teacher/trainer/tutor in further education. This Level 3 AET is a direct replacement qualification of Level 3/4 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) course sometimes also referred to colloquially as “PETALS” since 2011.

Level 3 Award in Education and Training AET Course is an initial teacher training qualification, is also a Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) qualification. This course is best suits for those who are new to teaching, or wishing to start out a teacher / trainer or currently teaching in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Level 3 Award in Education and Training AET /PTLLS is designed to give people the knowledge and confidence to teach any adult people in any subject area and certifying people to teach at a nationally accredited standard.

Face to Face or Live Zoom Classroom Course:
Face to Face or Live Zoom / Webinar class duration is for 3 days from 10am - 5pm and we have this session every week. You will be given 3 weeks to complete the coursework after the classroom session. However if you finish earlier, you will be awarded early. During this time one of our qualified tutor will give you support if you need any. We have over 35 venues in the UK; covering all the major cities. This course will be taught and trained by an experienced teacher, who will use a wide range of teaching activities; including lectures, group work, discussion, demonstrations, candidates presentations and many more activities that help learning. Micro teaching is an activity where trainee teachers prepare and deliver a short teaching and learning session to their peers.

Online / Distance Learning Course:
This qualification is delivered through our online based learning platform or Zoom classroom based with full tutor support throughout the course. The course materials can be accessed from anywhere through our student's portal. Our courses are designed to be convenient and intuitive and delivered as part of a holistic approach. Micro teaching is an activity where trainee teachers prepare and deliver a short teaching and learning session to their peers. You need to do Micro Teach for 15- 30 in front of 2 audiences, who can be your peer observers. This session need to recorded face to face or via Teams/Zoom or another platform on your chosen topic and send them along with your coursework for assessment.
The course is done at your own pace with a tutor's guidance. Once you book the course, the Student Portal access would be sent out to you and you will be given up to 4 months to complete the course. However if you finish earlier, you will be awarded early as long as you meet the required standard, you do not need to wait for 16 weeks.

Course Assessment:
There is no formal examination is required, but at the end of the course you need to submit a portfolio via email or by post to our head office. You will also be required to provide supporting evidence and an observation with written on the micro teach delivery aspect of the course.
