This A' Level Psychology Course is ideal for anyone wishing to gain a knowledge and understanding of this subject or for anyone who wishes to study at a higher level at University. You will also find this course extremely valuable if you are looking for a progression route for further training whilst employed.

This course is designed to enable students to relate to the subject by introducing new contemporary topics and making conceptually demanding areas more accessible.

On this course you will study four units:

AS Level

Unit 1: PSYA1  Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Research Methods
Examination: 1 hour 30 minutes

Unit 2: PSYA2  Biological Psychology, Social Psychology and Individual Differences
Examination: 1 hour 30 minutes

A2 Level

Unit 3: PSYA3 Topics in Psychology
Examination: 1 hour 30 minutes

Unit 4: PSYA4  Psychopathology, Psychology in Action and Research Methods
Examination: 2 hours.

This course specification will prepare you for completion of your A’ Level, May/June 2016.  If you wish to complete 2017, please advise us in order that we can ensure you follow the correct syllabus.

Students will be required to arrange and pay for their examinations at an AQA approved centre. We can provide an extensive list of these centres for you.

Requirements

It is recommended that students should be educated to GCSE Grade C or equivalent and have a reasonable standard of literacy. You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 24 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.
