Classical Civilisation A-Level – What You’ll Learn

On this engaging, online course, you’ll take a deep dive into Ancient Greece, immersing yourself in classics such as Homer’s Odyessy and Virgil’s Aeneid. Study Hours

• The learning hours for this course are up to 300 hours, which is around 30 minutes per day for 18 months.

Course Duration

• On average, students complete this course in 12 months, but we'll give you up to 24 months. Don’t worry if you go over the year though, we can organise an extension to your course for an additional fee, which also extends your tutor support.

Assessment

• You can enrol now for examinations from Summer 2024.

  You’ll be required to complete three standard A-Level written exams.

  • Paper 1: 2 hours 20 minutes, 40% of A-Level, 100 marks.
  • Paper 2: 1 hour 45 minutes, 30% of A-Level, 75 marks.
  • Paper 3: 1 hour 45 minutes, 30% of A-Level, 75 marks.

  These exams contain a mixture of short and long answer questions and extended response questions.

  We provide a guaranteed exam space in one of our partner exam centres around the UK.

  We also offer an exam pass guarantee. If you don’t pass the first time, we’ll support you for free, to your next exams.

  Assignments

  During your course, you’ll be required to complete various assignments. These do not contribute towards your final grade but provide you with an opportunity to submit work to your tutor for marking and feedback. This will help you to monitor your progress and will be used to produce predicted grades if needed.
