Working at Biocleave

BCL2020 Ltd (trading as Biocleave) is a biotechnology company with R&D facilities on Milton Park, near Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

Biocleave scientists are world-leading experts in the genetic manipulation of solventogenic clostridia. 

Clostridia are anaerobic microbes and can be tricky to handle, but at biocleave we have developed the tools that enable us to exploit previously unexplored protein production capabilities of these versatile microbes.

Our aim is to use this disruptive new expression system to shake up the market and increase the availability of difficult-to-express and/or cost prohibitive proteins. Using our experience of working with clostridia, we can harness its robust, industrial attributes and apply it in a never-before-used application.
