The Education Network are looking for a Youth Worker to support students with barriers to learning. You will be working with Key Stage 3 & 4 students who require additional support, encouraging them to engage with education and managing behaviour. Working 1-2-1 and on a small group basis, you will be working alongside specialist teaching and support staff that focus on reengaging students with education. This school are looking for an experienced Youth Worker with experience of defusing challenging situations and a natural ability to build rapport with students. With excellent leadership and a supportive team this is a great opportunity for a Youth Worker looking to make a transition into a classroom environment or with prior classroom based experience. Easily accessible from Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, and West Bromwich.

Ideally you will be:

-          A Youth Worker or Pastoral Assistant used to working with children with barriers to learning

-          A confident classroom practitioner able to support lessons in a creative and inspiring manner

-          Used to finding creative solutions to challenging behaviour

-          Encouraging participation in lessons

-          Happy to work on a 1-2-1 or small group basis

-          Able to provide support to teaching staff across core subjects

-          A friendly, professional  and dedicated Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor

-          Able to provide recent, relevant education references
