Youth Tutor – Newport
Salary: £24,638 – £26,780
Location: Newport (on-site)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm
About the RoleWe’re looking for a dedicated Youth Tutor to inspire and support young people on their learning journey. You’ll work with learners through the Jobs Growth Wales Plus (JGW+) programme — helping them gain confidence, build skills, and prepare for employment or further education.
This role is based on-site in Newport, where you’ll have access to excellent facilities and on-the-job training to support your professional development.
Your Impact- Deliver engaging training sessions that motivate and support learners to reach their potential.
- Create dynamic, learner-focused lesson plans that adapt to different learning styles.
- Guide and mentor learners through their individual learning journeys.
- Support young people to achieve qualifications and progress toward their goals.
What We’re Looking For- Training learners
- Delivering employability and Vocational Training
- Experience working with NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) individuals.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent Degree.
- Mentoring skills
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C / Level 5 or above.
- A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
- Training qualification desirable (Not Essential)
