Youth Support Worker

23 hours per week, Term time
Temporary up to 5 July 2019
£22,004 - £24,084 pro rata (including Distant Islands Allowance)

A motivated and experienced youth worker is sought to contribute to the development, co-ordination and delivery of youth work opportunities at Kirkwall Grammar School.

You will work closely with Curriculum Support and the Guidance Teams in the school to develop appropriate informal learning opportunities for individuals or groups of young people. In particular, you will work with a nominated school teacher to act as a Youth Achievement Club Adviser and Award Group Worker for S3 to S6 groups.

You should have a good general standard of education including literacy and numeracy and a recognised youth work and/or training qualification would be an advantage.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
