Youth Offending Officer

To hold a caseload of young people who have offended, or are at risk of offending/asb as required

Complete appropriate assessments and reports within designated timescales
Work with children & young people, developing and delivering age appropriate programmes

To attend panels as and when required

To attend court as and when required

To effect change in young people’s behaviour and self perception

Ensure monitoring is completed with YJB requirements

To maintain both computer and paper files to a high standard

Contribute to and develop best practice within the team and service provision

To work flexible hours and attend training as required

Any other duties as required

MUST HAVE THE BELOW:

Relevant experience of working with children and young people

Relevant experience of working in a youth justice setting

Knowledge of issues affecting young people and why they offend

Programmes and interventions that can be effective for children, young people and their families

Qualified to PCEP level or equivalent

Or relevant experience of working with children and young people
