Do you require a placement before starting your MSc/Research project? This practical placement will enable you to qualify and disqualify areas of Psychology, Youth, Social and Criminal Justice that are right for you.

Schools for vulnerable students will be the last to close and really need sincere, passionate Graduates who know their objectives to aid in raisin behaviour and attainment. If you are a Youth and Community graduate or Psychology graduate with experience of working with vulnerable children and adults, this role could aid you in reaching your objectives within the community and mental health advocacy.

The LSA role requires emotional maturity and empathy, discussing and pre-empting the events of the day that affect boys who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues. This will often come through experience that has been personal, voluntary or part of your degree, experience you have had where you have aided children and adults in finding some form of independence.

Restorative Practice, pragmatism and positive reinforcement will be key skills in this LSA role in Dorking. The role specialises in working with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and Wellness concerns. The boys you are raising attainment with are between the ages of 9-16, all have EHCPs and will need to continue their education once they leave the school.

Behaviour is only one aspect of this role, it is imperative that you have the academic skill to be able to raise academic attainment across a number of areas. Computing, Hairdressing, PE and the Performative Arts are all incredibly important here, there is a real holistic approach and feeling within this brand new SEMH School in Dorking.

Patience and empathy are huge factors in this role, as are sincere objectives. You have to know why you want to work with some of society's most vulnerable people, it is about the elimination of all ego and being committed for the academic year. You will be building relationships that you may never see all of the good come from them, lessons and foundations to raise the attainment of the boys you are working with
