To manage temporary accommodation provided specifically for young people.
To liaise with other agencies including the Job Centre, the Police and Social Services in order to achieve positive outcomes for young people .
To work with young people who may be at risk, for whatever reason, in a safeguarding role and to support them in a way appropriate to their individual needs
To work with local landlords including registered providers of social housing and local lettings agents to find suitable accommodation for young people and single non priority households
To raise awareness of housing issues with young people and their families by speaking at events within learning communities and elsewhere
To keep abreast of relevant changes in legislation, case law and good practice relating to young people and housing options.
To maintain accurate case notes and statistical information in all cases to facilitate the provision of information to other agencies, as appropriate, taking account of relevant legislation.
