A primary academy in Enfield are seeking a Year 6 Teacher to start with them as soon as possible.
Location: Enfield, accessible via National Rail and Overground
Start date: ASAP - until July 2018, with permanent opportunity available
Qualification required: QTS or equivalent
Experience: Experience as an upper Key Stage 2 teacher essential. Overseas trained teachers with UK experience are welcome to apply
Salary: £26,139 - £36,906 equivalent, dependent on experience
The Headteacher at this primary academy is seeking an upper Key Stage 2 teacher, someone who preferably has recent Year 5 or 6 teaching experience, and desirably with examination preparation experience also. It is a large school, with four form entry and a friendly, fun and hard-working staff team, who are all pulling together to raise standards of teaching and learning across the school.
The role would involve teaching a Year 6 class alongside 3 parallel class teachers who plan in collaboration during weekly PPA meetings. The Year 6 staff team includes two very experienced teachers who are able to provide good support with planning and assessment. There are openings across the academy chain for lead teachers and senior leadership roles, so for the right candidate there is real scope for progression into middle management in school.
The school is Based in the Enfield area, and is just a 10-15 minute walk or short bus journey from Ponder's End station.
