Year 5 Teacher

A primary school in Newcastle are seeking to appoint Year 5 teacher. This role will involve active and engaging teaching and has the support of working alongside another teacher with planning as this school has a two form entry. The Head Teacher has requested that the successful candidate has a passion and drive for becoming a member of the wider school community and will show willingness to complete any CPD inset training alongside other staff. A great opportunity for an NQT as the school are open to providing for the induction process.

Key responsibilities and requirements for this teaching role will include:

> Teaching all areas of the primary curriculum and taking responsibility for the progress of a class;

> Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment;

> To plan/adapt teaching for differentiation, additional learning needs, communication and interaction needs, social and emotional difficulties and/or sensory/physical needs.

> Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation and maintaining discipline;

> Preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development;

> Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development;

> Providing feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress at parents' evenings and other meetings;

> Keeping up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum;

An enhanced DBS check will be needed for successful candidates as well as two satisfactory references which will be sought upon application for this post.
