Well established primary school in South Gloucestershire need an enthusiastic and motivating Year 5 Teacher to begin after Easter to cover maternity.

Your new role
You will be teaching a year 5 class of 29 children, with the support of a general LSA. All pupils are of mixed abilities, so this will need to be taken into consideration when planning and preparing lessons and activities to ensure that all pupils are achieving to the best of their abilities. You will also be responsible for the subsequent marking and feedback of all work. There are no behavioural issues or SEN in the class.
What you'll need to succeed
You must hold Qualified Teacher Status and have experience of teaching within an upper KS2 classroom. You must have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with your pupils and fellow colleagues. As this is a long term position you must have the ability to engage and motivate your pupils to learn, so a genuine passion for teaching within this year group is essential. NQTS are not applicable.
What you'll get in return
The job is contracted so you will be paid to scale. As you will be covering maternity, the role has the potential to continue for up to a year.
