This school in Thamesmead Bexley are looking for a fully qualified teacher to cover a year 4 class teacher who is going on maternity leave for up to a year. NQTs will be considered and is an ideal opportunity for new teachers to broaden their work experience.

The school is a large, vibrant and friendly academy where children are motivated to learn in a safe and happy environment which enriches them with a thirst for knowledge.

The successful teacher will have full QTS, relevant experience and will be expected to demonstrate the skills of a good teacher. This includes the ability to:
*Interest, encourage and engage pupils;
*Provide appropriate levels of challenge, so that pupils make good progress
*Use methods and resources that enable all pupils to learn effectively
*Use assessment information effectively to plan next steps in children's learning
*Make effective use of time
*Secure high standards of behaviour
*Make effective use of teaching assistants and other support
*Enable pupils to acquire new knowledge and skills
*Enable pupils to develop the skills to work independently and collaboratively
*Enable pupils to develop self esteem and respect for others Create a well organised, stimulating learning environment.

In addition to your main teaching duties you will also be expected to:
*Be able to take an after school club
*Be able to attend staff meetings after school
*Be able to attend staff briefings before school once a week
