I'm looking for a teaching assistant to work in a primary school in Haywards Heath, so if this role interests you then please keep reading!

This role is to work in the Pre-Prep of a primary school on the outskirts of Haywards Heath, supporting as a teaching assistant in their Year 2 class. This is a full time role until the summer, supporting during the school day and the after school and breakfast clubs. Shift times vary between 07:45 and 18:00 but these can be flexible for the right candidate. To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of a level 3 qualification in childcare or supporting teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the teacher to set up and deliver effective lessons
Supporting children to learn both in the classroom and out in the community
Working on a 1-2-1 and whole class basis with students

Please note that candidates who do not meet the essential criteria for this role will not be considered.
Knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curriculums
An NVQ or Cache Level 3 or above in childcare or supporting teaching and learning
2 references for the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
Experience working in a primary school
An up-to-date DBS on the update service
A job history for the last 10 years
