We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to cover maternity leave from November 2025 until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extension beyond this period.

Pupils feel valued and safe in a respectful school community. While the curriculum and quality of education are improving, consistency remains a focus. Pupils behave well, enjoy learning, and benefit from a broad curriculum and varied enrichment opportunities, including leadership roles that prepare them for the future.

Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.

  • Support the academic, social, and emotional development of all pupils.

  • Assess, record, and report on pupil progress and attainment.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.

Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a Year 2 Teacher.

  • A nurturing and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
