Year 2 Teacher, ASAP Start, Croydon
An over-subscribed primary school in the borough of Croydon are looking for a Year 2 teacher to join their team as soon as possible. The role will be full time, initially until the end of the academic year, and is highly likely to become permanent.
About the role:
You will be teaching a Year 2 class of 28 pupils of mixed ability. There are a few children with SEN and EAL needs in the class; however none of the children present a behavioural issue. It is essential that you have experience planning, and are able to confidently deliver, lessons that cater for KS1 children of all abilities. You must also be able to set clear guidelines, and deliver a stimulating curriculum that motivates and engages all pupils to achieve their full potential.

Teaching is of a very high standard, and regular CPD opportunities are offered to staff, as well as paid INSET days. The school benefits from a range of facilities, including a large playing field, ICT suite and fully equipped gym. Furthermore, staff have access to a large staff room and free parking on site, and the school offer a generous amount of PPA time, which will be spent with the co-teacher in the year group.
In order to be considered for this position you must have previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2, and be able to provide 2 valid teaching references. You must also be eligible to work in the UK, and have QTS status.
