Tradewind Recruitment are currently working alongside an Infant School in Brent to recruit a Year 1 Teaching Assistant to support a child diagnosed with Autism.

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join their supportive Year 1 team as soon as possible until July 2018. You will be supporting a child on a 1:1 basis who has been diagnosed with Autism. This will be a full-time role, working 5 days per week. Your working hours will be 8:30am - 4:00pm and the daily rate of pay will be £75.00.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in Primary Schools. The school are looking for Teaching Assistants who have experience supporting pupils in reading, maths, EAL, SaLT and SEN. The successful candidate must be qualified at a minimum of Level 3 in Teaching and Learning and have excellent verbal and written English skills. You must be a committed practitioner who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.

This role will require you to support a child in Year 1 who has been diagnosed with Autism. The child is very and able however required additional support accessing the curriculum in Literacy and Numeracy. You will be present with the child in all lessons and encourage them to become an independent learner.

The school is easily accessible with parking for all staff and a bus stop 2 minutes from the school's entrance.

After visiting the school, I was very impressed at the calm and respectful behaviour presented by all children. The school have excellent behaviour management policies which means they can offer an environment where staff can focus on teaching and learning. The school can offer an inclusive environment where everyone's voice is heard. Permanent contracts will also be offered to staff who display a can-do approach to all tasks and an eagerness to learn and achieve.

The position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas police Clearances and professional reference checks.
