The Opportunity:

This is a brand new position within our company and an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make the job their own and help to continue growing our brand. We operate nationwide from our head office in Littlehampton and hold stock in several depots across the UK. The yard in Warwick, where this position is based, is the latest addition to our rapidly growing business. The yard will primarily be used to store and distribute hire stock of temporary fencing, security barriers and traffic management equipment.

This is a hands on position.

Warehouse Manager Specification:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with proven warehouse management experience. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of health and safety regulations and demonstrable experience managing a team. Applicants must be good communicators, self-motivated and able to work independently. The role requires the post holder to be physically fit as there is an element of manual handling. The successful candidate will hold a valid driving licence and ideally a forklift operator licence. First Aid training would be an asset.

Principle Duties & Accountabilities:

  • Independently managing all aspects of the yard and warehouse

  • Liaising with Company Director and Operations Manager regarding all aspects of warehouse operations

  • Overseeing the receipt, distribution and maintenance of stock

  • To load/unload equipment, including operating the forklift when required

  • Manage and monitor stock levels and liaising with Head Office

  • Ensure all returning hire equipment is checked, cleaned and branded correctly

  • Packing and banding equipment ready to despatch

  • Training and supervising warehouse employees

  • Contribute to carrying out risk assessments

  • Ensuring all team members adhere to company policies and codes of practice, including wearing the appropriate PPE

  • Reporting any hazards, incidents, accidents, near misses, or faults in equipment and machinery to Head Office

  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and organisation

  • Carrying our regular team meetings
