Your purpose (in a nutshell)

Working closely with the Inbound Gatehouse and Operations Managers, you will ensure that trailers and contents are correct so that all SLA are achieved.

You will be accountable for:

  1. Carrying out full yard checks.
  2. Ensuring the Warehouse Management are given regular updates on the yard.
  3. Provide cover for the Gatehouse Co-ordinator as required.
  4. Work closely with both Inbound and Outbound gatehouses.
  5. Provide the Operations Manager with a list of discrepancies in the yard and solutions on how to resolve discrepancies.
  • Undertaking full yard checks in line with the required standards and at the compulsory intervals whilst on shift.
  • Ensuring that all required reporting documentation are managed and maintained to the required standard and timescales.
  • Communicating any issues and daily performance to the Operations Manager on shift to maintain yard compliance.
  • Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas.
  • Following correct processes to ensure the correct loads are attached to the correct trailers using relevant site systems.
  • Ensuring that all H&S and hygiene requirements are adhered to in the Gatehouse and Yard whilst on shift.
  • Attending regular 1-2-1’s and performance reviews with the Operations Manager and attending Team Meetings as and when required.
  • Leading by example in creating a professional and positive work environment.
  • Create a safe working environment by identifying safety risks and hazards, also opportunities for improvement across the yard.
