We are adapting and changes our ways of working to enable efficient and effective support in Prudential’s installation of Bravura’s Sonata Platform and this is a rare opportunity for you to use your experience to help drive this forward at the beginning of our journey.
As a Wrap Platform Engineer you’ll be responsible for the development and unit test of major IT solutions; the continuous operability of assigned platforms and managing impacts and risks of associated activities.
Your key activities will include:
Working collaboratively with Operations resources to build solutions using Sonata’s workflow module
Daytime and overnight on call batch support and related activity (on call 1 week on 6 week rota)
Oversee/coordinate third party defect management
Develop SQL scripts to help identify root cause of defects, impact analysis, remediation etc
Raising Bravura tickets and managing day to day BAU relationship with the supplier
Supporting project work including development of enhancements and new product launches
Sonata Configuration (Regular schedule of configuration updates and adhoc jobs to support activity through the calendar year)
Day to day support for Customer Services
Calculation Engine (CTC) Configuration (Regular schedule of configuration updates and adhoc jobs to support activity through the calendar year)
Implementation and release activity in relation to Sonata, CTC and Workflow
Application Monitoring, configuration, enhancement and maintenance
Supporting regular weekend infrastructure change (testing and related activity)
Ongoing technical and process improvements
Create/update systems documentation and maintain technical support guides
To succeed in this role you will ideally have experience/knowledge in:
- Sonata (preferred) or similar Wealth Platform
- Data analysis and SQL development
- Familiarity with the Unix/oracle environment
- Wrap Technology
- Application support
- Project delivery (including large, complex projects), project management principles, tools and methodologies
- Analytical problem solving
- Financial Services industry knowledge (preferred)
