Suitable applicants will have strong management and leadership skills with experience of working in a technical engineering environment.
*Define and communicate the objectives of the department
*Take actions required to ensure that these objectives are met
*Achieve company performance targets
*Ensure that the root causes of non performing are investigated and tackled
*Monitor and publish the figures
*Ensure all staff are aware of the role they play, and lead them to forecast the risks of
problems in order to react before they happen
*Play an active and lead role in Health, Safety & Environment improvement programmes
*Set high personal standards in H&S and E
*Ensure full adherence to the Company's environmental procedures and rules
*Take the lead role in identifying and tackling the root causes of all issues & problems
(quality, delivery, team morale, capacity, etc...) in production.
*Work closely with other departmental managers to tackle problems and improve processes
Managerial Experience within a technical production environment
Capable of overseeing a team, and checking on KPI's and company targets
Developing and coaching members of staff
