WORKSHOP CONTROLLER (CAR DEALERSHIP)
SALARY: £25,000+OTE
BASED IN Cambridge
My client is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller who understands the demands of a Main Dealer and the ability to meet the high standards that this position brings.
You will possess the skills to be organised and the ability to engage and motivate people and the ability to maximise the time available to sell on a day to day basis, whilst maintaining the work technicians receive through the workshop.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
·Determine availability of workshop hours daily & communicate regularly
·You will possess the skills to be organised and the ability to engage and motivate people and manage the day to day tasks
·Maintain progress information of each job allocated & liaise with Technicians to ensure customers are kept informed
·Monitor all workshop orders through the parts department, keeping ahead of outstanding work & parts on order
·Managing bookings, dealing with customers, creating invoices, handling customer payments
·Managing Technicians work allocation and liaising with the body shop and insurance companies.
·Ensure all applicable paperwork is passed onto, and administered by, the appropriate department
·Pass on all documentation for completed work to Tester & organise any extra work if necessary
·Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times whilst also motivating your team whilst having the drive to help motivate others to exceed targets and deadlines
WORKSHOP CONTROLLER SKILLS & QUALIFICIATIONS:
Previous workshop management / workshop controller experience essential
·Must have evidential proof that you are able to run a productive workshop
·Main Dealer experience as a workshop controller
·Must be able to demonstrate leadership and identify problems within the workshop and understand how to fix them
·Understanding of health and safety - always adhering to company standards
·Must have a CAN DO attitude with the ability to prioritise / organise work to ensure the workshop runs smoothly
·Strong communication is ESSENTIAL - you are the central person who service, parts and technicians will report too and therefore must be able to give quick solutions to any issues
·Must be driven and task orientated
