Wholesale Sales Manager

We have a great opportunity for a Wholesale Sales Manager to join our head office team based in London.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

  • Implement optimal wholesale channel strategy for key accounts prioritising the most appropriate department stores and speciality doors
  • Work closely with all wholesale partners to ensure that maximum sales potential is realised

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Management

  • Utilise contacts to secure space in leading department stores and specialty doors
  • Work with partners to identify sales opportunities at buying events and throughout the season including, specific product requirements
  • Use core product offering to maximise in season selling opportunities
  • Act as primary contact for all key accounts in day to day communications and manage the on-going relationship
  • Conduct store and market visits
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to maximise profits and profit margin
  • Manage expectations of clients based on realistic interpretation of critical path
  • Maintain wholesale pricing matrix
  • Maintain estimated retail sales by account where appropriate
  • Enter customer orders onto the system
  • Replenish core orders in the system
  • Communicate with DC, finance and logistics teams on shipping of orders
  • Action the shipping schedule, ensuring deliveries are shipped in a timely manner to maximise fulfilment
  • Issue updated shipping forecasts to management and warehouse weekly

Brand Development

  • Manage showroom setup
  • Manage trade show participation and secure appointments
  • Develop in depth knowledge of local markets and cultural preferences to maximise sales and potential synergies between partners that could deliver economies of scale for Orla Kiely
  • Work with partners to understand local Brand positioning and relevant retail pricing by market
  • Ensure business partners understand our Brand vision, consumer and product

Communication

  • Help organise buying days and sales appointments
  • Collaboration with buying team on product offering, pricing and delivery timing
  • Communicate with Buying team on any trade related product replenishment, cancellations or delivery needs
  • Work in collaboration with Logistics Team to ensure effective management of distribution
  • Work with marketing team to define marketing strategies to ensure maximum support to the wholesale business
  • Maintain Wholesale contacts database
  • Produce clear and concise Wholesale reports as required by the business, including shipped and retail sales
  • Monitor monthly Wholesale Sales and review versus budget

COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous Wholesale account management experience - preferably in Womens apparel and or accessories
  • Brand ambassador
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for wholesale
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a history of relationship management
  • Self-motivated, decisive and a creative problem-solver
  • Excellent presentation/report writing skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Responsible and reliable
