An exciting opportunity has arisen within Bi Borough Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster (KCW) School Health service to a recruit an experienced School Nurse Team Leader for our Westminster Team based at Warwick street who is committed to leading service change and embedding best practice.

We are seeking to recruit to a Band 7 School Nurse Team Leader post to help build our service. You should have a relevant qualification in School Nursing Specialist Community Public Health Nursing plus extensive experience . This is an excellent opportunity for you to work alongside the Service Operational Lead and other Team leaders within the service. We are looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated School Nurse Team Leader to provide professional leadership and line management to a team of school nurses.

Your responsibilities will include delivering the public health message in schools and community settings, delivering the universal Healthy Child Programme, inter agency working to ensure all children and young people are protected from harm and providing enhanced services to those children and families with additional needs.The position will involve carrying a reduced caseload. As a School Nurse team leader you should also demonstrate excellent interpersonal & communicative skills and the ability to be adaptable and flexible. You will demonstrate leadership skills and have the ability to provide professional leadership to a team of school nurse. Evidence must be provided of keeping up to date inSCPHN school sursing practice issues and maintain awareness of developments in School Nursing and make changes to clinical practice as required.

As a School Nurse Team Leader you will also need to show you are clinically effective, a sound decision maker and the ability to manage change. You will require knowledge and experience of systems such as audits and safeguarding processes and be an effective communicator with children, parents and families as well as local partners such as Early Help Family Hubs and Schools etc
