Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) are due to introduce onsite 'Centres for Wellbeing’ (CfW) at 6 of their UK sites.

The CfW’s will provide a 'one-stop-shop’ for reactive and preventative support for their employees covering three Wellbeing pillars: Mind, Body, and Life. The CfW’s aim to minimise employee illness, injury, and absence, whilst also working hard to restore function (both physical and psychological) after injury or illness. These services augment and work alongside the current OH Referral process.

Health Partners are the chosen provider to support the introduction and ongoing management of JLR’s ground-breaking Centres for Wellbeing.

Health Partners are looking for talented individuals from a range of backgrounds to support this unique and exciting roles. Candidate backgrounds may include, please note that this is not an exhaustive list:

- Sport Science
- Exercise Physiology
- Sports therapists
- Nutritional experts
- Sports Rehabilitators
- BASRAT instructors

Health Partners are looking to recruit Wellbeing Physiologists to work across JLR sites in the Midlands - locations include Castle Bromwich, Solihull, Wolverhampton, Whitley and Gaydon. This is a unique opportunity to be involved with a ground-breaking project from its inception. The role will support the delivery of JLR’s wellbeing strategy relating to the Body Pillar. You will support with the onsite health and wellbeing service including wellbeing assessments, and health promotional activities. You will work closely with JLR to ensure their business objectives are met whilst maintaining our goals and values.

What you’ll be doing:

Clinical

- To deliver lifestyle clinical assessments of patients
- To provide evidence-based advice tailored to the patient’s health profile (adiposity, biochemistry, blood screening) and stage of behaviour change
- To formulate and implement written action plans based on treatment prescription, which is modified for the applicable stage of change
- To set positive and realistic goals coaching the patient to realise their potential
- To support patients living with lifestyle induced disease to make positive and sustainable lifestyle choices for enhanced chronic disease management
- Give assistance and reassurance to clients during their medical tests
- To deliver evidence-based exercise sessions to groups
- To use specialised equipment to perform clinical physiological tests
- To record and analyse physiological data
- Maintain and calibrate equipment in line with HP Policy, reporting faults etc.
- To interpret clinical data and assess patients’ clinical risk, making informed decisions whether to escalate to GP or OH practitioners for further investigation and management
- Act within the boundaries set out by the company’s policies to ensure sensitive personal information is protected as required by law, regulatory bodies, ethics and best practice

General

- Support the preparation and delivery of educational workshops and health & wellbeing webinars
- To be proactive in the design of health promotion campaigns empowering employees with the knowledge to make informed decisions on their health
- Getting clients and equipment into correct locations and positions for events
- To produce new and innovative strategies to enhance the role preventative services play in an Occupational Health Service
- Empower others to be accountable for their own health and wellbeing
- Acts as a health and wellbeing role model, ambassador, and team player
- Develop and promote a culture of health and wellbeing first
- Keeping knowledge up to date through continued research and commitment to learning
- Act in accordance with the company’s core values of diligence; honesty; exemplary customer service; professionalism; ethical and trustworthy behaviours. Valuing colleagues, customers and business partners, and taking responsibility for their actions

Qualifications and essential skills

- Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Sports Science/Health Science/Exercise Physiology/Sports Therapy
- Previous experience in sport, medical, health, wellbeing or fitness environment or studied human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology or nutrition
- An understanding of workplace wellness, wellbeing strategies and interventions
- Experience of delivering health assessments or have knowledge of clinical measures
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of professional accountability in the scope of professional practice
- Excellent communicator, with a proactive and positive approach
- Passionate about improving individuals’ health and wellbeing
