Job Description

We are looking for experienced Welfare Rights advisers to join our Welfare Rights Team to support staff and to help service users through the transition to Universal Credit. The successful candidates will have a detailed understanding of the current benefit system and also Universal Credit and be able to fully maximise service user’s income. Candidates will need to evidence excellent communication skills and have the ability to convey information to individual claimants and also to groups of staff. Candidates will also be required to demonstrate an understanding of the challenges facing service users be committed to helping them overcome the obstacles to securing their benefit entitlement including representation at appeal tribunals where required. 

These posts are Temporary until 31st March 2019.

A Standard Disclosure Check will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their Standard Disclosure Checks.
