We have a permanent vacancy for a mig welder based over in Woodbridge, Suffolk.

An engineering company who have been established for just shy of a century require a Welder / Fabricator to join their experienced team in Woodbridge, Suffolk.

The company are open to junior welders who have recently left college & are looking for a role offering training & progression.

Competitive pay available subject to experience with overtime available @ increased rates during busy periods!!!

What will the job involve?

This position involves fabrication and welding of pipework, small brackets, base frames and balustrades. You will mostly be welding mild steel, but you may be required to TIG weld some aluminium products, the thicknesses could vary from 2mm - 30mm. The person will also be able to read and understand technical drawings as well as being able to cut and bend materials using guillotines.

Skills Required:
- NVQ/Diploma in Welding/Fabrication
- 2 years Welding/Fabrication experience
- MIG welding background is essential
- Good attitude to work
- Must be able to work to their own initiative
- Proficient user with hand/power tools

This will be working Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 17:00 with an early finish on the Friday.

This is a permanent role subject to a successful 3-month probation period.
