Xact placements are working with a successful and rapidly growing FinTech who are looking for a Web DevOps Engineer to come and join them. They are aiming to become a house hold brand so are heavily investing in their staff to achieve this. Our client embraces digital technology to deliver first class customer experiences that are both efficient and engaging.

The role

You will be a part of a team who manage approximately 15 web sites as well as web services across multi-server cloud platforms (AWS and Azure currently). Your role will be to refine and improve the performance infrastructure, provisioning and deployment.

You will also be responsible for refining and improving the monitoring of infrastructure making a sure it running optimally and behaving as expected. You will also be able to make suitable recommendations on the technology stack that they use. Currently they are using Nagios, Icinga, statsd and Librato.

As a Web DevOps Engineer you will be working alongside of Developers and ideally have experience with Ansible or have experience with Chef, Puppet or similar and would be happy to transfer skills. Ideally you will also have experience with Azure or AWS. On the Development side our client uses the LAMP stack so being able to optimise MySQL databases would be a distinct advantage but not essential. Having knowledge of PHP and JavaScript is also desirable but not essential

Location: Leeds - Remote Working Available (Will need to visit the office on occasions)

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 - Plus Benefits (Can go higher for the right candidate)
