Blue Whale Spa, the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of hot tubs, is currently looking for an experienced web developer. This is a new role, offered on a permanent basis, which has been created due to business expansion.

As a website developer, you will take responsibility of the front-end side for each of our e-commerce websites, ensuring the brand identify is achieved for each site. Your main task will be to create and make the sites user friendly, ensuring all key elements are present and there is a logical flow in the user journey.

You will be using both UI and UX to ensure we maintain a competitive edge in the market place, as well as utilising split and MVT testing to ensure that the most effective layout/landing page, etc. is used.

You will be utilising Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS and PHP, JavaScript, WordPress to ensure the aims and objectives are achieved.

Key requirements

  • Have demonstrable knowledge and experience of web development.

  • Excellent practical experience of coding.

  • Have strong HTML, CSS, PHP and Jquery, WordPress, eCommerce experience and comfortable using cPanel.

  • You will be accurate and have meticulous attention to detail.

  • Have experience of UI and UX development and understand SEO fundamentals.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Able to collaborate as part of a team but work autonomously to create the desired results.

  • Have previous experience using all the above programming languages, mark-up language, platform and Adobe Creative Suite packages.

  • Hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

  • Have a can-do attitude and can work under pressure.

  • Have experience of working in a fast-paced organisation.

  • Experience of working in an SME would be advantageous.

    Salary is competitive for the role and available on a permanent basis. You will be working 9 till 6 Monday to Friday.
