The Role

As a Web Designer with an experience in UX/UI you will create web design solutions that have a high visual impact. The role involves listening to briefs and understanding needs before making design decisions and writing code.

Web design will be required for a variety of solutions across desktop, tablet and mobile platforms, including ecommerce web applications, reward applications and product portals. The following list provides examples of key responsibilities, others may be required:

  • Set up and application of client branding to client websites using HTML and CSS
  • Creation of email layouts using HTML
  • Supporting the design team with scheme promotional design e.g. flyers, posters, brochures
  • Contributing ideas to the briefs
  • Accurate time management of allocated tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple jobs in a fast-moving environment

About You

This job requires creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines. Key attributes:

  • Good design ability, with design portfolio
  • HTML and CSS, writing web pages
  • Experience using Bootstrap framework
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, you must be able to use Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Ability to adhere to customer branding when creating designs
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
  • Self-motivated; able to act on own initiative to deliver projects
  • Team player and able to build relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
