A qualified Watersports Instructor is required to join our friendly watersports team on a permanent basis.
You'll get to work at an award winning park that not only is used for leisure activities but also is crucial to the supply of water to Anglian Water's millions of customers. Set in 4200 acres of open countryside, Rutland Water Park is the central rural attraction in England's smallest county of Rutland and offers activities for all the family. On the shores of Rutland Water you can find a variety of attractions such as the Watersports Centre, shops, cafes, an inland bathing beach and restaurants. Whether you want to just get away from it all and enjoy the countryside or take part in something more active, there is sure to be something that you will enjoy at Rutland Water Park.
The watersports centre offers sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddle boarding. We offer a fun filled day out for beginners to experts and we welcome team building events and even stag and hen dos!
We need you to work alongside your colleagues to ensure an efficient, safe and profitable service. You'll provide excellent customer service and put your all in to every day when guiding and instructing our visitors during their activity, providing one to one and group tuition. You'll help to maintain equipment and get involved in training seasonal staff.
It's essential that you have a RYA instructor qualification in Sailing, SUPing, Power boating or Windsurfing. Ideally you'll have experience in a similar environment, assisting people of all ages and abilities.
We are open all year round, and we have extended opening during the summer. You'll need a flexible approach to working hours and be willing to work in all weathers!
If you are offered a job with us, you will be subject to the relevant/standard employment checks, including: your right to work in the UK, reference, driving licence and identity check. Due to the nature of the role you will also be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
Anglian Water is not your typical water company. Just take a look at our Love Every Drop strategy that underpins everything that we do and you'll start to get a feel for our culture. It's collaborative, innovative and inspiring. We put people at the heart of our business and we truly love what we do! If you care about excellent customer service, your career and the environment, then we want to hear from you. We believe that equal opportunities means inclusion, diversity and fair treatment for all.
