Water Leakage Inspectors – Yorkshire

£23-28k depending on experience + relocation expenses if required

6 months temp and Permanent contracts available!


Working for a leading water company, successful candidates will be tasked with delivering cost-effective sustainable leakage reduction through analysis and investigation of water usage and the promotion of leaks and/or identification and logging of usage in order to ensure the company meets its leakage performance commitment.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:


• Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships.

• Experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.

• Leak detection and resolution using acoustic sounding equipment (listening sticks and ground microphones)

• Use leak sound correlation equipment, including the ability to use filters, carry out velocity checks and use hydrophones

• Use correlating loggers (e.g. Enigma and Sound Sens) and be able to successfully interpret the information they provide

• Designing and implementing step tests

• Understands network hydraulics and the effect that operating the network can have on water quality (overlanding)

• Use Netbase (Latis Lite) to understand DMA day/night usage patterns, potential leaks and reductions due to repairs

• Effectively quantify and validate leakage

• Zero pressure testing, zone integrity tests and pressure logging

• Logger, pulse unit installation and maintenance

• Network operations using the calm network method

• Understanding of how a DMA is set up
