An exciting opportunity to join a long established company with a world leading reputation. As the Warehouse Operative you will be a valued and important part of the team in supporting the three divisions which operate the site. The person will, work closely with the production and purchasing department, pick and manage stock. You will be using the ERP system to input data and manage the incomings and outgoings from the warehouse.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative

  • Operate Forklift trucks and occasional driving of company vehicles.
  • Ensure accurate and on time receipt/booking in of materials from vendors and on time delivery of materials
  • Ensure accurate and on time booking out of goods going to customers.
  • Dealing with Freight Forwarders for goods in and out.
  • Preparing required paperwork including customs information.
  • Complete ERP transactions accurately and immediately following all material movements to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Ensure all materials are stored in accordance with company procedures.
  • Complete stock adjustments as requested or required and involvement in annual stock taking.
  • To expedite all outstanding purchase orders in timely manner when required.
  • Communicate any production concerns or issues to Management.
  • Prepare Works Order kit lists and paperwork for Production.

Candidate Requirements of the Warehouse Operative

  • Forklift truck licence and full clean driving licence.
  • Previous engineering experience within Stores environment would be beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Work effectively under instruction from management as required.
  • A team player with high level of dedication.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience of ERP systems.
