Warehouse Team Leader

OnPoint are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join a well known haulier based in Leighton Buzzard.

Job Purpose:

To pro actively and effectively Lead a small warehouse team to ensure trailers and containers are loaded and unloaded safely and efficiently. Ensuring customer orders are accurately scanned, picked, packed and reworked to the required standards and time frames. Maintaining accurate stock records with regards to movement.

General Duties:

  • Working to schedules to ensure customers goods are picked ready for delivery with the ability to adapt should the need arise
  • Ensure the team are working safely to ultimately achieve customer requirements
  • Oversee and ensure completion of general daily duties
  • Organise and process customer orders, including to customer specific requirements and ensure timely despatch of stock
  • Check orders after picking for accuracy and ensure customer requirements are met, advising warehouse staff of any errors in order to minimise future discrepancies
  • Loading and unloading of trailers and containers within given time scales and checked against paperwork, reporting any errors to the parties concerned
  • Ensure accuracy when loading vehicles, maintaining safe load standards
  • Load and unload vehicles in a safe manner using manual handling or fork lift equipment
  • Assist with scanning, picking, packing, goods in and goods out processes when required
  • Provide customer support using our internal system or by telephone
  • Updating and maintaining system accuracy for all stock
  • Ensure warehouse projects are completed and meet the required standards
  • Ensure the customer receives a first class service in all communication.
  • Ensure safe use of baler
  • Ensure safe use of wrap machine
  • Monitor & record packaging to ensure customer demands are met
  • Provide the team with product and packaging to meet the customer’s requirements
  • Demonstrate a keen eye whilst working under pressure.
  • Supporting the transit operation when required
  • Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring you comply with statutory law, company policy & health & safety guidelines
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met

Hours - 8.00hrs - 17.00hrs Monday to Friday
