Job title: Warehouse Operative
Salary: £17680pa (or £8.50 per hour)
Location: Burgess Hill
Hours: Monday - Friday 6am - 3pm, 40 hour week

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a candidate looking for their next career move within Warehousing and Logistics. This is a varied role whereby you will predominantly be enlisted as a Warehouse Assistant, however you will also cover holiday and sickness for the delivery drivers. With this in mind you will need to be qualified as a Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Driver. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has experience driving 12/15/18t trucks and holds an up-to-date CPC with the ability to demonstrate excellent Customer Facing skills, but who would like to spend 50% of their time in a non-driving role.
This well-established client are seeking candidates who are experienced, personable and highly driven.
A typical day in this position:
- Arrive at 6.30am at the Burgess Hill depot
- Sorting pallets for delivery and shrink wrap/load them onto vehicles
- Using voice picking - picking orders ready for the next day's deliveries
- Receiving goods into the warehouse and storing in line with requirements
- Stock rotation and control
Key skills required:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Organised and methodical
- Excellent English, both written and verbal
- Able to lift 25kg easily
