Following a comprehensive evaluation of the business structure, systems and objectives they are now seeking to appoint a Warehouse Operations Manager. The role will oversee the overall operation including picking/packing, receipt and dispatch of goods, inventory, production and health & safety.
The successful incumbent will directly manage a team of supervisors, ensuring direction, development and processes are in place. Therefore, it is critical that applicants demonstrate excellent leadership experience, strong influential skills, and the ability to increase performance levels through process development.
The successful candidate will have the scope to make both strategic and tactical decisions and the opportunity to develop positive changes across the business. You will be required to develop long term strategies to ensure best-practice is followed, analysing KPI performance to identify areas of improvement.
Some of the key duties and responsibilities associate with the role include:
Ensuring Health and Safety Legislation is adhered to and leading by example in respect of the business' strong, positive health and safety culture
Ensuring Key Performance targets are reached in all areas of operations
Managing overall Warehouse performance and budgets through strategic planning
Implementing and driving positive change, succession plans and best-practice to achieve maximum efficiencies
Ensure sales orders are processed and dispatched within agreed lead times
Responsible for inventory management and ensuring the accuracy of stock takes in the warehouse
Liaising with 3rd party logistic suppliers, working collaboratively to achieve best service
Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:
Minimum five years' experience within Distribution /Warehouse Management
Previous experience of managing large teams and performance
Ability to communicate well across all levels
Highly analytical and methodical in approach
A good knowledge of best-practice and leading continuous improvement projects
Strong knowledge of WMS and previous experience in optimising systems
