My client based in Uxbridge, Middlesex is an independent Catering Equipment Service Company which has been providing comprehensive and professional pre- and post- sales support services for a number of leading manufacturer’s lines, many of which are sold by its sister equipment sales company.
Their experience spans many different types of products into almost all catering sectors using Banqueting Systems, Carveries, Burger Broilers, Combi Ovens, Bake Ovens, Rotisserie Ovens, Hot & Cold Deli Counters, Hot Multi-Deck Merchandisers (Grab & Go!), gas burner ranges and ovens, etc.
To manage an efficient stores department, receiving & sending orders, preparing & packing spares for daily deliveries, maintaining clear & concise stock records.
Mentoring current apprentice
Ordering spares, receiving & booking stock onto Sage system, managing stock.
Processing customer orders, packing & sending out parcels.
Maintaining & monitoring engineer’s stock. Implementing new systems of work.
Maintaining a clean & tidy spares department, adhering to all Company Health & Safety procedures.
Assist with holiday & sickness cover in the warehouse
Full clean driving license
Preferably trained to use a reach & counterbalance forklift
Experience with speaking to customers on the phone.
Knowledge of stock control & an understanding of mechanical processes.
Previous experience supervising staff
Confident with dealing with customers on the phone.
The individual should be aware of the physical demands of moving & handling equipment & accessories, following safe handling guidelines.
Ability to plan ahead & work on own initiative, accuracy & attention to detail imperative.
Strong work ethic.
Experience of using hand tools.
Salary c£30,000 per annum depending upon skills and experience
Hours 38 hours a week
Times Monday 8:30am till 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch
Tuesday – Thursday 9:00am till 5:30pm with a 30-minute lunch
Friday 9:00am till 4:00pm with an hour for lunch
Holidays 20 days plus the 8 Bank Holidays = 28-day Holiday per annum
