Warehouse Manager

My client, a leading 3PL is seeking a Warehouse Manager for their new start-up operation.

Locations: - Allington, Maidstone

Shift:- Days

Salary:- £40-45,000.00

Person: It is essential that the candidate has experience within Warehouse Management and ideally experience within retail distribution.

Role: To support the General Manager in achieving the contract operational KPI's. Support delivery of corporate and customer initiatives, projects and operational change programmes. Responsible for managing continuous improvement and process improvement programmes across site. Responsible for day to day health and safety management on site. Responsible for managing support services and facilities across the site

Responsibility:
o Responsibility for all issues relating to Health & Safety and the Environment.
o Ensure all corporate and customer reports are completed, within agreed timelines.
o Continuous Improvement Champion, instigates Process Improvement proposals.
o Drive project management and innovative solutions.
o Ensure regular and effective communication to Operational team raising awareness of priority requests
o Effective leadership and management of projects.
o Facilities Management
o Support the Operations Managers with operational leadership where required and where business needs dictate.
o EOS and engagement champion for the site.
o Co-ordinate and lead the site engagement agenda.
o Support the delivery of Site Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) .
o Ensure regular and effective communication to Operational team raising awareness of priority requests
o Support and deliver strong communications across the operation and across functions.
o Drive project management and innovative solutions.
o Champion quality by active involvement in Continuous Improvement sessions
o Effective leadership and management of projects
o Identify opportunities to develop operations team, provide advanced training, support secondments
o Seek opportunities to improve and encourage employee engagement
o Demonstrate an active leadership style, taking full responsibility for driving an engagement culture in the operation
