Warehouse Assistant

Our client is a manufacturing company who specialise in the production of high precision machined components. The latest CNC turning and milling machines are used along with a dedicated quality team to ensure each part is built to the highest possible standard. A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Assistant to join their hardworking and busy team in St Leonards.

The ideal Warehouse Assistant will have demonstrable experience within a warehouse environment. As a Warehouse Assistant you will be receiving delivery of goods and ensuring that all stock levels are recorded and maintained.

The ideal Warehouse Assistant will possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Full driving license as driving company van could be required
  • Be computer literate
  • Hold a good eye for detail
  • Be able to work well in a team
  • Ability to complete paperwork and take stock
  • Awareness of Health and Safety in the work place
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently
  • A valid Counterbalance Forklift License is desirable but not essential

Your duties as a Warehouse Assistant would be:

  • Receiving delivery of goods and storing them
  • Checking for damaged or missing items
  • Moving stock by hand or with machines
  • Packaging of goods
  • Ensuring goods are loaded ready for sending
  • Keeping and maintaining stock records
  • Data entry
  • Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and tidy manner

Salary:

£7.38 per hour (Under 24s)

£7.83 per hour (25 and over)

Once fully trained Salary will increase to approximately £8.50 per hour

Hours:

Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm

Friday, 8am – 1pm

Temp – Perm Position

St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex
